”Another direct action outside of Officer John Squeo neighborhood:
WANTED by the people for the murder of Jorge Gomez!!
We were able to talk to more neighbors and engage with those in traffic outside of the neighborhood.
Our demands are simple
1. Release the body cam footage
2. Arrest the officers who killed Jorge Gomez
3. DA Wolfson DO YOUR JOB! “

MTAH & allies marched outside the gated community that houses John Squeo’s family. This was the second visit to the community and just like their first visit, they taped flyers with the information of Squeo’s involvement in the death of Jorge Gomez.
Police were called and arrived shorty.
They did not engage with the group other than asking for the person responsible for the protest.
One officer is heard saying “Oh they’re here because of the officer & Jorge Gomez…” as he studied the flyer taped across the wall.
Neighbors met the protesters outside asking to quiet down as they had children in their households. One neighbor was very upset when the group told him that they would not comply with his request. He then took down all the flyers that were posted in anger.

How ignorant and privileged is that comment?
The family of Jorge Gomez has to deal with the loss of their loved one and your kid is safe and sound in your house.
What a privilege to say your kid is alive.
While families all across the country has to deal with their child being murdered.
Your children are safe and protected, meanwhile someone’s child is not.”

Officers remained nearby watching the group as they marched and spoke with neighbors & handed out flyers.
