Fawn as NUWUArt took action after various reports of the hysterectomies and sterilizations made to various immigrant women without their consent in I.C.E. Detention Facilities across the U.S.

“This is GENOCIDE! This was sterilization of African and Latinx/ Indigenous women. We say NO! “

This form of artivism was inspired by the Black Youth Project 100 (link) who performed a similar piece / protest in 2017.
