LVMPD Officer Vernon Ferguson was 1 of 4 officers (edit: 5* • 5th officer has yet to be named) involved in the death of #JorgeGomez on June 1st, 2020. Ferguson fired 4 of 19 fatal shots that night. This is the 3rd officers house More Than A Hashtag has paid an early visit to (8 am wake up calls).
Neighbors mentioned that LVMPD has been camping outside of the officers house for weeks now awaiting this action from MTAH possibly. Both LVMPD & Henderson police were on the scene minutes upon arrival.
Group members walked the perimeters of the house & housing community showing neighbors their handmade signs and informing them as to why they were in their neighborhood that Saturday morning .
Upon arrival, LVMPD & Henderson PD officers blocked the entryway of the household community with SUV’s and stationed in front & across the street. Officers blocked the house to ensure there was no trespassing.
Henderson officers attempted to get the group to disperse but could not rightfully stop their action as they were in movement on public property and not breaking any laws.
Police continuously asked for a point of contact and accused them of trespassing.
No one was trespassing.
No one in attendance spoke with police.
No one was cited or arrested.
