Sunset at #PeeheeMuhuh / Thacker Pass
During our second evening at Peehee Mu’huh we met Joshua, Joseph and “Young Warrior”. We took time to create some portraits as the sun was setting behind the mountains and later had a conversation as to how they connected to this land and it’s current issues.
Today we introduce you to :
Joshua Dini Sr., 41 years old,
Member of the Walker River Paiute Tribe, Schurz, NV
When asked how he was introduced to Peehee Mu’huh camp Joshua said,
“My brother Myron Dewey, we came out in May (2021).
My brother was passionate about the camp and he really looked forward to helping Peehee Mu’huh with his media (@digitalsmokesignals) and donations.
Myron then passed (9/26/21) so I want to continue his support.
Also, I love the peace and blessings here. I wish I didn’t have to leave camp but I am looking to be more sufficient so I can stay longer.”
Joshua adds, “Anybody coming to the camp for the first time, come in with a good heart, good mind, ready to pray, be self-sufficient and be ready for the cold winter months.
This camp is for protecting against the lithium mine, not for vacation.
Thank you for the love, prayers and support.”
