Lithium is the most relevant and highly invested mineral in the mining industry - used for “green energy” like electric batteries for cars. Nevada has one of the largest known Lithium deposits and the proposal for mining on these sacred lands has taken action in excavation .

“The Cordero Mercury Mine - Northern NV | 2/13/22
Polluted soil & water from mining waste. These Contaminated resources effect local communities- especially reservations where for example, arsenic levels exceed safe standards.
Part of protecting the land & culture is getting to know it with respect to the caretakers and communities.
Environmental rights is Indigenous rights.
