In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
New Era Las Vegas, community members & Matt Kelley Elementary School
came together to put on an event for the community at Sherman Gardens Apartments.
The morning after Thanksgiving, the city of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and the Nevada Dept. of Transportation demolished a houseless encampment (video here) that had been developed and maintained by various organizations in Las Vegas including Food Not Bombs LV, New Leaf Community, The Sidewalk Project and Las Vegas Liberation.
